自己PR 様々な英語教育機関の経験から英語教授能力を豊富に備えています。また、パスコンでレッスンやテスト作成の経験も長く、PCの利用も慣れています。Kansai Time Out誌の神戸担当記者の仕事では、毎月様々な記事を書くことにより、英文能力を維持、また改善しておりました。

外国青年招致事業の外国語指導助手としての異文化交流を重ねた経験や、7年間の英語教師経験で身につけた人間関係能力が生かされると確信しています。さらに、通訳・翻訳訓練経験から、高度な調査能力と編集能力も持っております。そして、健康状態は良好で軽く体力もあり、出張にも対応が可能です。

現在は翻訳と通訳の経験を蓄積しているし、その中に政治、経済、金融、医学と一般の分野に触れたことがあります。これからは翻訳・通訳の修士号で身に付けた知識やスキルを活かしてフリーランスの翻訳家や通訳を目指して頑張りたいと思います。

I first came to Japan in 1997 on the JET Programme as an ALT for Kobe city. After two years on JET, I decided to study Japanese full-time at the Kobe YMCA for eighteen months, enabling me to obtain Level 1 of the Japanese Proficiency Test. I then continued to work and study in Kobe at various language institutions for a few years.

In January 2003 I returned to Australia to undertake the Master of Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translating (MAJIT) course at Queensland University, Australia.I successfully graduated from the MAJIT course in December 2004, with aspirations to enter the field of translating/interpreting, possibly specialising in the economics/finance and medical fields. I have also formally studied translating in the following fields: politics, finance/economics, medicine, law, technical translation, general.

I worked as attendant/interpreter at the Australian Pavilion at the Aichi World Expo 2005.I am now currently working at Congress Institute teaching J-E business translating/interpreting, as well as engaging in freelance translating/proofreading and interpreting in my free time.I recently passed Level 2 of the Japan Interpreters Skills test (日本通訳検定２級合格） and also acquired NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) Accreditation as a one-way (Japanese into English) Professional Translator Level 3.
