After working in-house as a translator and chief English editor for a Tokyo-based company for two years, I moved to Toronto, Canada, to work as a freelance translator. Before my work in-house, I worked part-time as a freelance translator and editor, doing work for CBC Radio, along with other companies and private clients. In addition to my degree in Mathematics, I have the advantage of having lived and worked in Japan for over eight years, which makes me extremely familiar with not only the Japanese language, but also the culture, essential to a complete understanding of the language.
